Net Promoter Score (NPS) measures customer loyalty with a single question: “How likely are you to recommend us to a friend or colleague?” Customers answer on a scale from 0 to 10.
Customers who score 9–10 are promoters, 7–8 are passives and 0–6 are detractors. Your NPS is the percentage of promoters minus the percentage of detractors, giving a score from −100 to +100. For example, 62% promoters and 14% detractors gives an NPS of +48.
Any score above 0 means you have more promoters than detractors. Many businesses consider +30 strong and +50 excellent, but the most useful benchmark is your own trend over time. With Zapio Survey you can track NPS by channel, branch and journey in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the GCC.
Add one open question after the score so you understand what drives each rating.
Use relationship NPS on a schedule and transactional NPS after key interactions — and report them separately.

Contact unhappy customers quickly — it is one of the fastest ways to protect loyalty.
Break NPS down by branch, channel, product and customer type to find where to act.
Look at NPS over time and after changes, rather than reacting to one survey round.
Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a customer loyalty metric based on one question: how likely a customer is to recommend you on a scale from 0 to 10.
Subtract the percentage of detractors (scores 0–6) from the percentage of promoters (scores 9–10). Passives (7–8) count towards the total but not the score. The result ranges from −100 to +100.
Any score above 0 means you have more promoters than detractors. Many organisations treat +30 as strong and +50 as excellent, but benchmarks vary by industry, so your own trend over time matters most.
Relationship NPS measures overall loyalty on a regular schedule, while transactional NPS is sent after a specific interaction such as a purchase, visit or support request.
Relationship NPS is commonly sent quarterly or twice a year. Transactional NPS is sent shortly after key interactions, with frequency controls to avoid over-surveying customers.
